UMKC Pharmacy Camp
Who: must be a current freshmen or above
What: One-day camp to show you what it's like to study pharmacy. Interact with faculty and practicing pharmacists, hands-on experiences in lab and classrooms, learn about different types of careers and what it takes to become a pharmacist.
Cost: $35 per student, $15 per guest

People to People Leadership Summit and People to People Ambassador Programs
Who: Grades 5 - 12
What: There are two separate programs,. The Student Ambassador Program has international travel and is focused on education and increasing global awareness. The Leadership Program has domestic travel and focuses on education, leadership and college preparation.
Where: Various locations throughout the world
When: Throughout the summer
Cost: Dependent upon program chosen

AmeriCorps and FEMA Corps
Who: Men and women ages 18-24
What: Full-time, ten month residential national service program
Where: Five campuses throughout the U.S. Denver, Sacramento, Vinton, IA, Baltimore and Vicksburg, MS. Missouri is recruted by the Denver location.
Cost: Students are given room, board, healthcare and a living allowance of about $4,000
Assignments: there are two tracks. The NCCC track you work on projects such as engaging youth, building and rehabitating homes, cleaning up parks, streams, trails and shorelines, fighting wildfires and helping communities recover from disaster. The FEMA Corps are part of the emergency management team and help with long-term recovery activities.
